The Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government completes its first year of service on May 26, 2015, has to credit its unprecedented glorious achievements in developing great work culture and designing policy driven governance for pro-people and pro-farmer.

Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi took the office on this day a year ago and spoke about his believes to serve the nation with good governance. The mantra “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” derived from “appeasement of none, development of all” reunites every Indian irrespective of their religion, caste, creed, gender and occupation.

The government is dedicated in facilitating basic sanitations. The Swaach Bharat Abhiyan increased a greater awareness in the society. It comes with building toilets in public schools and institutions. The government has relaxed provision in CSR activities for building toilets in schools and successfully engaged corporate in building the society.

The Government of India achieved a new milestone in developing comprehensive social security scheme for the poor and the marginalized, the old and those with low-income levels. India has moved towards a banked society, an insured society, a pensioned society to become a social secured society.

This pro-people government recently launched MUDRA Bank to facilitate financial support to every MSMEs; 61% of whom are SCs, STs, OBCs and Minorities.

‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ was a slogan given to India by then Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri in 1965. The Modi government has engaged with foreign countries including all neighboring countries from the first day of the government and developed better foreign relations and enhanced diplomatic relations. The government has initialized initiatives in implementing ‘One Rank One Pension’ and also in curbing Black Money, both domestic and foreign.

The Government of India has designed Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission in developing the rural infrastructure and creating Smart Cities. The government has introduced ordinance with certain pro-farmer revision in the Land Acquisition Bill for optimal utilization of farmlands. The rural infrastructure development will increase the rural living standards.

The revised Land Acquisition Bill has better provisions for developing primary school infrastructure to high school infrastructure. Libraries, Playground and Auditoriums are important in developing a healthy society. The government plans to introduce various skill development institutes, facilitating career oriented academic freedom for the youth through eLearning.

The revised Land Acquisition Bill includes better provisions for ‘irrigation for farmland’. This will increase the waterways which has positive impact on both, environment and economy. The lands will be used to build water treatment plant and laying drinking water for every home. These homes will require concrete road connectivity. The Land Acquisition Bill includes better provision in connecting roads from homes to cold storage and farm warehouse. The roads are planned to erect power lights posts. The electricity is derived from the nearest power plant developed in the newly acquired land in the rural areas. The government has introduced a policy to bring roof for every homeless by 2022; new homes are built with proper sanitation, water and electricity over those acquired lands.

The increase in the rural living standards will increase new markets, with proper warehouse and cold storage. The revised Land Acquisition Bill has better provisions in building such infrastructures. Certain marketplace with high productivity may even require airports and rail connectivity. Speedy dispatch of produce will reduce the losses thus, reduce cost of the produce; the farmers can have their price whereas the consumers can enjoy the produce at an economic price. The government is working on Greenhouse Farming and Organic Farming. Both will increase the productivity and the quality of the produce. The Modi government has introduced ‘Soil Health Card’ to research the utilities of the farms and assist farmers in utilizing the farmland to optimal. The government recently launched Kisan TV to aid necessary programs for the farmers.

The increase in living standards will bring hunt for more job opportunities. The Land Acquisition Bill is redesigned such that the youths of the farmers’ family can enjoy career opportunities within their rural infrastructure: factories and skill workshops; such opportunities can be developed through skill development.

The rural infrastructure needs medical services besides Banking Facilities and ATM services. The people in the rural belt including farmers also have right to access medicine shops, hospitals, banks, ATMs in times of need. Such infrastructures are also served in the revised Land Acquisition Bill.

Yet, certain people would prefer to say that this government has done nothing in this one year; not a single initiative facilitates who prefers ‘shoot and loot’. Yes, those people are severely affected with ‘Saal Ek Shuruaat Anek’. The Narendra Modi-led NDA government is dedicated to good governance and serves the nation selflessly to enhance the living standards of every Indian, including poor and farmers.
